Atlanta Jamaican Association Reaches Impressive Community Service Milestone

The Atlanta Jamaican Association (AJA) has reached a major milestone in community service.  Long recognized as the longest serving and probably the most influential and accomplished Caribbean organization in Atlanta, AJA officially celebrates 30 years of service this year.

The Atlanta Jamaican Association is organizing a function to commemorate the Bicentenary of the Abolition of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade in 1807 by the British Parliament. The function is being planned by the Cultural Committee of the Association and will be held at the Hillside Presbyterian Church Hall, 1879 Columbia Drive, Decatur, on Saturday March 17, beginning at 5.00 p.m. The theme selected for the occasion is “Thus far have we come”.
